今年是中國和馬來西亞建交50周年
美食成為促進兩國民間交流的橋梁
2024年9月22日,中山石岐街道從善坊歷史文化街區(qū)內(nèi)首家主題文化餐廳“南成行”正式開業(yè)。該餐廳主打馬來西亞娘惹美食。馬來西亞駐廣州領事館總領事蘇萊雅女士和馬來西亞拿督唐寶瓊等貴賓專程前來祝賀。
馬來西亞駐廣州領事館總領事蘇萊雅(Suraya Pauzi)表示,在中山生活和工作的馬來西亞人有很多,這是她第三次來中山。“馬中關系對馬來西亞而言非常重要?!彼杏X,改造后的從善坊非常漂亮,富有歷史韻味。入駐此地的馬來西亞峇峇娘惹文化主題餐廳,可以向中山人和游客們展示中國文化與馬來西亞文化的融合。她認為,隨著深中通道的開通,未來的中山將擁有越來越多的發(fā)展機遇,來這里參觀的人們也會感受到濃郁的中山歷史文化。

Baba Nyonya Cuisine as a Bridge
to Promote China-Malaysia Friendship
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, and cuisine has also served as a bridge to promote people - to - people exchanges between the two nations.
On September 22,2024,the first themed cultural restaurant, "Namseng Ltd", was opened in the Congshanfang Historical District of Zhongshan, featuring Malaysian Baba Nyonya cuisine as its signature dish.
Suraya Pauzi, Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, and Dato’ Lillian Tong, along with other distinguished guests, made a special trip to offer their congratulations.
“This is my third time in Zhongshan.There is quite a big Malaysian community working and living in Zhongshan.” said Suraya Pauzi. This Malaysian themed Baba Nyonya restaurant shows a combination of Chinese and Malaysian culture."So I think when the people of Zhongshan or tourists that come to Zhongshan, they see this.They learn more about not just about China, but its very close neighbors, like Malaysia."?
