外國人在中國期間，護照過期了該如何處理？中山市海外傳播中心的AI主播Alan告訴當勞，外國人在中國護照過期后，應立即向所在地縣級公安機關出入境管理部門申請護照換發(fā)。申請時需提交的材料包括打印或填寫完整的《中國公民出入境證件申請表》等資料證件。公安機關出入境管理部門受理申請后，會在規(guī)定時限內(nèi)完成審批和制證工作。隨后，外國人應當前往自己國家的駐華使領館，換取新的護照。注意的是，這一服務需要預約，且周末或節(jié)假日不提供護照服務。在換取新的護照后，外國人需要前往當?shù)氐闹袊矙C關出入境管理部門辦理簽證延期手續(xù)。具體流程包括提交以下步驟。在辦理手續(xù)時，外國人需要遵守中國的法律法規(guī)，并按照規(guī)定的程序和要求進行申請。如果外國人的申請被批準，他們將獲得新的簽證或護照，并可以繼續(xù)在中國合法停留。
For the foreigner whose passport expires in China, They should immediately apply for a passport renewal at the local entry and exit management department at or above the county level of the place of stay with materials required. The exit and entry administration department will complete the approval and document making process within the prescribed time limit. Following that, the foreigner should proceed to their country's embassy or consulate in China to obtain a new passport. Please note that an appointment is required for this service, and passport services are not available on weekends or holidays. After obtaining the new passport, the foreigner needs to apply for a visa extension at the local entry and exit management department. During the application process, the foreigner is required to abide by Chinese laws and regulations and follow the prescribed procedures and requirements. If their application is approved, they will receive a new visa or passport and can continue to stay in China.
