Is China a safe place for foreign investment? Here is the truth!
中國(guó)對(duì)外商投資來(lái)說(shuō)安全嗎? 真相在此！
If we were to read Western media, we would think that China is not a safe place for foreign investment, however, if we look to Chinese media we see a different story - this is not a simple case of one side saying one thing and the other side saying something different, this is a much bigger story of misinformation on one side and the other, not just telling the truth, but proving it by demonstrable results.
如果我們閱讀西方媒體報(bào)道，可能會(huì)認(rèn)為中國(guó)對(duì)外商投資而言并非安全之地；然而，如果我們看中國(guó)媒體，我們會(huì)看到不同的故事——這種差異絕非簡(jiǎn)單歸因?yàn)閿⑹陆嵌鹊牟煌钦凵涑龈顚拥恼J(rèn)知差異——當(dāng)某些勢(shì)力還在編織謊言時(shí)，中國(guó)早已用實(shí)實(shí)在在的發(fā)展成果讓真相不言自明。
People who don't know China might be forgiven for misunderstanding it and that's why it's important to listen to people who do understand China.?
不了解中國(guó)的人若對(duì)它產(chǎn)生誤解，或許情有可原——正因如此，傾聽(tīng)那些“中國(guó)通”的聲音顯得尤為重要。
But, what's really happening here in China and why should we believe Chinese media when they tell us something different to our Western media? - well, let me tell you what I've seen and what I know - you can do your own research and decide if I'm right or not.
但中國(guó)究竟在發(fā)生什么？當(dāng)中國(guó)媒體提供與西方媒體不同的說(shuō)法時(shí)，我們憑什么相信前者？——那么，讓我說(shuō)說(shuō)我的所見(jiàn)所聞，你可以自己去查證判斷真?zhèn)巍?/p>
I keep seeing media reports from English language media telling me that China is collapsing or China is failing, China is struggling or there's this challenge or that challenge and indeed there are challenges - what country in the world doesn't have them. However,?the reality is that those challenges are being addressed, there's always attention being paid to them at the highest level and, as a result of that attention, they are overcome every single time.
我不斷看到有英語(yǔ)媒體報(bào)道說(shuō)中國(guó)正在崩潰、失敗、掙扎，面臨這樣那樣的挑戰(zhàn)——挑戰(zhàn)確實(shí)存在，哪個(gè)國(guó)家沒(méi)有呢？但現(xiàn)實(shí)是，這些挑戰(zhàn)正在被積極應(yīng)對(duì)，始終被高度重視，而正是這種重視，讓中國(guó)人一次又一次地克服了困難。
And, in the more than 20 years we've been seeing reports about how China is just about on the edge of some kind of economic catastrophe, the only thing that's really happened is China has grown. Once again, China grew by 5% last year, that's?nearly double the USA and five times more than the UK, the two countries where most of the reports about China's problems originate. China is also the world's largest contributor to global growth and that's a VERY important factor.
過(guò)去二十多年來(lái)，我們不斷看到各種預(yù)言中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)即將崩潰的報(bào)道，然而唯一真正發(fā)生的事情是，中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)在持續(xù)增長(zhǎng)。去年，中國(guó)GDP再次實(shí)現(xiàn)了5%的增長(zhǎng)——這幾乎是美國(guó)的兩倍、英國(guó)的五倍有多——而這兩個(gè)國(guó)家正是大多數(shù)唱衰中國(guó)報(bào)道的源頭。中國(guó)還是全球經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的最大貢獻(xiàn)者，這一點(diǎn)至關(guān)重要。
I've often said this of China, people who know, know. Ordinary people, consumers of the daily misinformation about China's economic troubles probably don't but if they really want to find out, they should look at business leaders, follow what they're doing and, if they do that, they'll see a very different story.

Tim Cook of Apple, one of the world's most successful and profitable corporations invests heavily in China, Elon Musk, the world's most wealthy man invests heavily in China. Warren Buffet, believed to be the world's most successful investor, invests in Chinese firms. Walmart, one of the world's largest employers and owned by one of the world's richest families is huge in China too. These are well known names but there's a lot more we're not hearing about.

Just last week, more than 40 different business investors were in China meeting with the leadership here, they came from Germany and other European countries, they came from the UK, the USA and countries in South America and Asia and there's only one reason why they would do that - because they know the truth.
就在上周，40多位來(lái)自不同國(guó)家和地區(qū)的企業(yè)投資人齊聚中國(guó)與政府高層會(huì)晤——他們來(lái)自英國(guó)、德國(guó)等歐洲國(guó)家，來(lái)自美國(guó)，來(lái)自南美和亞洲各國(guó)。他們專(zhuān)程前來(lái)，只因深知真相。
I live in Zhongshan, a small city in the Greater Bay Area. When I look around my adopted home, I see US corporations, I see Japanese brand names, I see Korean manufacturing and European products being built, sold and used here as well as exported to the rest of the world. In 2024, Zhongshan City approved 873 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, marking a year-on-year increase of 3.07%.

Guangdong has a great record as a destination of foreign investment, just the first two months of this year alone there have been 3,484 new foreign invested firms opened up here，with a year-on-year increase of 16.8%. Remind me again, who was it who said China's era of foreign investment was over? Ah yes, that was Western media - wrong again!
廣東省一直是外商投資的熱土，成績(jī)斐然——僅今年前兩個(gè)月，這里就新設(shè)立了3484家外資企業(yè)，同比增長(zhǎng)16.8%。容我再問(wèn)一次：是誰(shuí)宣稱(chēng)中國(guó)的外資時(shí)代終結(jié)了？啊，想起來(lái)了，又是西方媒體——他們又一次錯(cuò)了！
For the last couple of years，I've been involved in the Zhongshan Global Investment Promotion Conferences and there's absolutely no doubt in my mind, that China is exactly what it says it is, a safe, stable and profitable place to invest.?
過(guò)去幾年，我一直有參與中山的全球招商大會(huì)。此刻我可以毫不猶豫地?cái)嘌裕褐袊?guó)正如其所承諾的那樣——始終是安全、穩(wěn)定且充滿(mǎn)投資回報(bào)的熱土。
It's really not that hard to find the truth about that, you can do what hundreds of business leaders do every year, they come here to see for themselves but more importantly, they continue to invest here so that they can report back to their boards and their shareholders that, like China and like Zhongshan city, they're contributing to overall global growth and returning good dividends to their investors.
要看清真相其實(shí)并不難——你只需像每年數(shù)以百計(jì)的商業(yè)領(lǐng)袖那樣：來(lái)這里親自考察，更重要的是，持續(xù)在此投資，這樣他們就能向董事會(huì)和股東們報(bào)告：正如中國(guó)中山所展現(xiàn)的，不僅在推動(dòng)著全球經(jīng)濟(jì)的增長(zhǎng)，更是創(chuàng)造價(jià)值的投資熱土。
